youthHansa: Münster get-together

On Thursday, 28 November 2024, the first get-together of the international and the Dutch youthHansa took place in Münster. Young people from Hanseatic cities in Germany, the Netherlands and Finland came together to get to know each other better in preparation for the International Hanseatic Day, which will take place in Visby in June 2025. A delegate from the Münster Youth Council was also present to get to know the youthHansa, as were youthHansa Commission members Eline Jansen (PR), Janne Tikkanen (Finance) and Pepijn Velthuis (Regional Relations/Chairman of the Dutch youthHansa).

The programme began with a reception by the Deputy Mayor of Münster, Maria Winkel, in the historic "Friedenssaal". This was followed by a tour of the city, which focussed on the historical Hanseatic League. The meeting was rounded off in the evening at the atmospheric Christmas market in Münster. The event in Münster was a good opportunity for networking and cooperation between the young people within the network of the international youthHansa. At the same time, it was an ideal prelude to convincing the City of Münster and its young people in particular of the uniqueness of the youthHansa.
