European Hanseatic Ensemble
The Hanseatic League's trading network favoured a multi-layered flowering of culture - including music. Rediscovering the great musical heritage of this region from the time around 1600 and reviving it for our time in concerts is the great goal of this European project. Under the direction of Manfred Cordes, the ensemble of young talents in the field of early music is formed anew every year.

Hiking in the footsteps of the Hanseatic League
The Hanseatenweg (Hanseatic Trail) is a hiking and cycling trail in the footsteps of the Hanseatic League. It runs in the area of old trade routes between the Hanseatic cities of Hamburg and Szczecin over a total distance of 550 km and is a project of the association "Naturfreunde Deutschland". An extension of the trail from Osnabrück to Hamburg is currently being worked out. The continuation of the project from Szczecin towards Gdansk is being planned.
