Who is responsible for data collection on this website?
How do we collect your data?
On the one hand, your data is collected by you providing it to us. This may, for example, be data that you enter in a contact form.

The data controller is the natural or legal person who alone or jointly with others determines the purposes and means of the processing of personal data (e.g. names, e-mail addresses, etc.).
SSL or TLS encryption
For security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, such as orders or enquiries that you send to us as the site operator, this site uses SSL or TLS encryption. You can recognise an encrypted connection by the fact that the address line of the browser changes from "http://" to "https://" and by the lock symbol in your browser line. If SSL or TLS encryption is activated, the data you transmit to us cannot be read by third parties.
Revocation of your consent to data processing
Many data processing operations are only possible with your express consent. You can revoke consent you have already given at any time. For this purpose, an informal communication by e-mail to us is sufficient. The legality of the data processing carried out until the revocation remains unaffected by the revocation.
Transfer of personal data
Data that has been logged when accessing our internet offer will only be passed on to third parties if we are obliged to do so by law or by court decision or if the passing on is necessary for legal or criminal prosecution in the case of attacks on the internet infrastructure. The information will not be passed on for other non-commercial or commercial purposes. We only use the personal information you enter for the purpose you have requested. It will not be passed on to third parties for any other purpose. We use third-party services on our website in order to provide an appealing and user-friendly presentation of our information. In the process, data may be transmitted to the provider of these services. Further information on third-party plugins and tools can be found under point 5 of this data protection declaration.
Links to websites of other providers
Our website contains links to websites of other providers. We have no influence on whether these providers comply with the data protection provisions.
3. Your rights as a data subject
Right to complain to the competent supervisory authority
Pursuant to Art. 77 DSGVO, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority if you believe that the processing of your personal data violates the DSGVO. You have the right to have data that we process automatically on the basis of your consent or in fulfilment of a contract handed over to you or to a third party in a common, machine-readable format. If you request the direct transfer of the data to another responsible party, this will only be done insofar as it is technically feasible.
Information, blocking, deletion
Within the framework of the applicable legal provisions, you have the right at any time to free information about your stored personal data, its origin and recipient and the purpose of the data processing and, if applicable, a right to correction, blocking or deletion of this data. For this purpose, as well as for further questions on the subject of personal data, you can contact us at any time at the address given above.
Objection to advertising e-mails
We hereby object to the use of contact data published within the framework of the imprint obligation for the purpose of sending advertising and information material that has not been expressly requested. The operators of the pages expressly reserve the right to take legal action in the event of the unsolicited sending of advertising information, for example by spam e-mails.

5. Plugins and tools from third parties
We use third-party services on our website, for example plugins or APIs (Application Programming Interface), in order to expand the functionality of our website. In doing so, data may be transmitted to the provider of these services. In detail, we use the following services:
OpenStreetMaps via CartoDB Inc.
We use the open source map service "OpenStreetMaps" (also referred to as "OSM") from the OpenStreetMap Foundation, 132 Maney Hill Road, Sutton Coldfield, West Midlands, B72 1JU, United Kingdom to display geodata. OSM is used to provide an interactive map on our website that shows you information about the location and accessibility of the Hanseatic cities. This service enables us to present our website in an attractive and user-friendly way by loading map material from an external server. The following data is transferred to the OSM servers during the display: the one of our web pages that you have visited and the IP address of your terminal device. The legal basis for the processing of your data in relation to the "OSM" service is Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 letter f) DSGVO (legitimate interest in data processing). The legitimate interest results from our need for an appealing and user-friendly presentation of our online offer and the easy findability of the places indicated on our homepage. You can find more information on the handling of user data in the CartoDB Inc. Privacy Notice: https://carto.com/privacy/
Our website uses plugins from the YouTube site operated by Google. The operator of the site is YouTube, LLC, 901 Cherry Ave, San Bruno, CA 94066, USA. When you visit one of our pages equipped with a YouTube plugin, a connection to the YouTube servers is established. This tells the YouTube server which of our pages you have visited.
Our contains external links to pages of the social networks Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. We have no influence on whether these providers comply with data protection regulations.
In order to evaluate and, if necessary, improve the use of our website, statistics are collected using the open source web analysis service Matomo (formerly Piwik). Matomo uses so-called "cookies". These are text files that are stored on your computer and enable an analysis of your use of the website. For this purpose, the information generated by the cookie about the use of this website is stored on our server. The IP address is anonymised before storage. Matomo cookies remain on your terminal device until you delete them. Matomo cookies are stored on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f DSGVO.
If you do not agree to the storage and use of your data, you can deactivate the storage and use here. In this case, an opt-out cookie will be stored in your browser, which prevents Matomo from storing usage data. If you delete your cookies, this will have the effect that the Matomo opt-out cookie will also be deleted. The opt-out must be reactivated when you visit our site again.
