‘The day is all about exchange,’ emphasises Rachid Hamdaoui, spokesperson for the international youthHansa and member of the project steering committee. ‘THE HANSA should be presented to young people as exactly what it is today. Not just a unit from history lessons, but a network, a door opener from which young talents in particular can benefit.’ In Neuss, the Hanseatic Society, an association with over 100 members consisting of private individuals and commercial enterprises, is the main sponsor of the youthHansa.
In the presence of the mayor, a cooperation agreement was signed during the event between the Hanseatic Society and the vocational college, which provides for long-term and sustainable cooperation in the area of (youth)Hansa. ‘For us as a youth organisation, this is a complete success!’ says the spokesperson for the International youthHansa.
