This annual event focuses on the development of the cultural routes programme and highlights current best practice examples from the field of cultural routes. Initiatives by the Union of Cities THE HANSA – including the Hansa cycle route, the trip of the Kamper Kogge to Visby and the work of the Fair Hansa – were presented during a panel discussion on sustainability, cultural heritage and tourism.

As part of the forum, three newly certified Council of Europe Cultural Routes were awarded their certificate: The themes of these are the musician Niccolò Paganini, traditional singing practices in the north of Europe, and the travels of medieval merchant Pietro Querini.

The Forum is co-organised by the Enlarged Partial Agreement on Cultural Routes of the Council of Europe and the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of the Republic of Armenia, in partnership with the European Institute of Cultural Routes, the Tourism Committee of the Republic of Armenia, and the Foundation for the Development of Culture, with the support of the Municipality of Yerevan.
