On 6 December, the final steps towards founding the North German Youth Hanseatic League were taken in Stade. Under the motto ‘Cast off for the first Hanseatic adventure’, committed young people met to celebrate the founding and set the course for the future. In spring 2026, the association will officially be established as an unregistered association.

In addition to appointing the five founding members – Paula Eick and Clara Torborg from Stade, Johannes Schott and Marcel Albrecht from Lübeck, and Leo Staritzbichler from Lüneburg – the first board elections were also held. Paula Eick, Johannes Schott and Marcel Albrecht were elected to the board of the North German youthHansa for the next two years.

Full of motivation, ideas and drive, the team is looking forward to the tasks ahead. The initial discussions focused on building a stable image through social media and events, integrating new member cities, and establishing a strong network between the North German Hanseatic cities.

The North German youthHansa promises to become a lively and future-oriented organisation that not only wants to carry the Hanseatic values into the present day, but above all to support and connect young people in the North German Hanseatic cities.
