Calender Icon 13. May 2024

In preparation for the 44th International Hanseatic Days, which will take place in Gdansk from 13 to 16 June 2024, Martine Soepenberg (Hanseatic City of Zwolle) and Pepijn Velthuis (Hanseatic City of Oldenzaal) as members of the Dutch YouthHansa and Julius Lobe (Hanseatic City of Lübeck) as a member of the German YouthHansa were guests on the German-Dutch EUREGIO Stampodcast, which is part of EUREGIO Youth.

EUREGIO Youth is a pioneering platform for young people from the German-Dutch border region who want to get actively involved in the border region. Hanseatic cities such as Rijssen, Oldenzaal, Münster and Osnabrück are located in the EUREGIO. As a result, both youthHansa and EUREGIO Youth saw an opportunity to join forces, which resulted in this episode, among others. In this podcast, recorded at the EUREGIO office just a stone's throw from the German-Dutch border, they talk about their experiences as members of these organisations and how others can participate. The podcast uses a unique, ground-breaking format: each speaker uses their own native language, with bilingual presenter Sina Kuipers acting as an intermediary, making the podcast accessible to both Dutch and German listeners. The youthHansa participants themselves also drew a consistently positive conclusion at the end of the recording.

You can listen to the podcast via Spotify, Apple Music or the EUREGIO website. Have fun!
