This major family exhibition invites visitors to immerse themselves in a fascinating world of trade, harbour life and history. Around 5,000 PLAYMOBIL figures have been used for the exhibition and staged in impressive dioramas.
Experience the Hanseatic Day of 1412 in Lüneburg’s medieval town hall, the salt works and Lüneburg harbour. The focus of this special exhibition at the Lüneburg Museum is unique in Germany in that it also highlights the surrounding regions of selected Hanseatic cities. It offers a fascinating insight into Lüneburg’s wide-ranging trading partners.
Alongside the Lüneburg-themed displays, visitors can explore the half-timbered ‘beer town’ of Einbeck, the centre of English cloth merchants in King’s Lynn, the snow-covered forests around Novgorod and the fish-rich coasts of Skåne, all brought to life in their own dioramas.
The exhibition is presented in collaboration with diorama artist Oliver Schaffer.
