Once again this year, autumn will be heralded in Dorsten's old town with a festival full of music, enjoyment, tradition and culture. The programme starts on Friday with the nationwide ‘Deutschland singt und klingt’ (Germany sings and sounds) campaign on the market square to mark the Day of German Unity, followed by an Irish folk concert. Saturday sees the first ‘Night of Old Town Culture’ with children's theatre, readings, a book bazaar, an art exhibition, live music, a DJ and much more. After a festive church service on the market square, visitors to Dorsten's city centre can browse, shop and stroll through the Hollandmarkt in a relaxed atmosphere on Sunday when the shops are open and enjoy the special festive atmosphere. Gastronomic offers, live music and many other programme items also invite you to linger on this day.
