International Hanseatic Day 2018

On June 21–24, project HANSA participated in the 38. International Hanseatic Day in Rostock. This important Hanseatic event gathered many Hanseatic cities and enthusiasts. The project HANSA Manager Inger Harlevi participated in the seminar for tourism professionals from the Hanseatic cities, where ideas were exchanged for future cooperation between the cities. Information about the 9 HANSA cities was also available at the Explore HANSA stand. We told many people about our 9 small Hanseatic cities and surprised them with our local treats, especially the candied quince. "Is it amber?" was the most popular question at the stand. Coin minting was also on high demand – in total 350 Limbaži coins were made. Stand visitors had a chance to participate in the HANSA QUIZ and answer 9 questions about our cities.

We were happy to hear that some are already planning their trips to our medieval pearls. Hopefully, our joint new brochure with QR codes to the mobile Apps will be a good guide.
