HANSEartWORKS – Exhibition 2007 Lippstadt (D) – retrospect
Under the motto “FRAGILE – a Work of Art for Everyone” artists from 14 Hanseatic Cities representing 6 countries have taken part in the HANSEartWORKS Premiere.
As exhibition space each of the artists was being allocated a wooden cube, reminiscent of a shipping case. These ‘art cubes” were sited at selected locations within the city centre.
In Lippstadt HANSE Art was being presented for the very first time during the 27th Hanse Convention.

In his laudation dr Jan Hoet, director of MARTa Herford, deposed: “Art in a cube is a really perfect combination. Not only, because in this way it will be clear, that there will be a sender, who has created something for the receiver, but because it will also be clear, how vulnerable art is.”
