DIE HANSE and the youthHansa work for their objectives by initiating specific projects.
Every member city of DIE HANSE is entitled either alone or with other
cities (including non-Hanseatic cities) to submit project proposals to
the Council.
After preliminary discussion by the Council, the assembly of delegates
makes its decision following recommendation by the Commission on
implementation of the proposed project. A project group, comprising
representatives of at least five member cities of DIE HANSE, is set up
for every project proposal, and thus also for subsequent implementation
of the project itself if it is approved.
Every project is put under the specific responsibility of a member of
the Commission. The respective chairpersons of the project groups are
also consultative members of the Commission. During implementation of
the projects, reports are made by the chairpersons of the respective
project groups to the Assembly after prior discussion by the Commission.
