HANSEartWORKS project of the 27th International Hanse Convention in Lippstadt 2007

FRAGILE is an art project, which creates with its concept, its presentation in the public space and during the International Hanse Convention 2007 ideal conditions for an encounter with contemporary art. Responsible for the FRAGILE idea and realisation is the artist Manfred Feith-Umbehr, who was born in Lippstadt born.

In Lippstadt HANSEartWORKS is being presented for the very first time. Under the motto “FRAGILE – a work of art for everyone”, artists from 14 Hanse cities representing 6 countries are taking part in the HANSEartWORKS premiere.

As exhibition space each of the artists is being allocated a wooden cube, reminiscent of a shipping case. These “art cubes” are sited at selected locations within the city centre.
