The Town of Lippstadt Light-Water-Life Lippstadt combines tradition along with progress. As it is the oldest town in Westphalia (1185) and former member of the Hanse Lippstadt looks back on its diversified past of over 800 years. At persent we can see a functioning infrastructure based upon solid groundwork which developed over time, an example of healthy urban development. The historical old town centre is a successful symbiosis with the vibrant life of a modern town which lends itself to extensive shopping sprees. In 2007 the hanseatic days will be in Lippstadt.

Lippstadt has over 70 000 inhabitants and as such has the task of an administrative and economic centre for the region.
